Fred Ross is a Creative Director at Psyop with a rare blend of artistry and technical fluency. A seasoned compositor, 3D generalist, and colorist, Fred has led teams across projects for some of the world’s biggest brands. His background spans live-action direction, motion graphics, and visual effects—rooted in his early career on set as a 1st AC, where he honed both his eye for craft and his love of gear.

Fred is fluent in an arsenal of tools—Flame, Houdini, Maya, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Nuke, and beyond—and has taught courses in Flame, After Effects, and motion graphics for fxphd. Equally at home in pre-production, production, and post, he thrives on pushing creative and technical boundaries, whether it’s animation, short films, or music videos. His work has earned recognition including an Adobe Creative Jam award, underscoring his passion for innovation and storytelling.
